Knitting fascinated me
as a young child watching my aunts create warm and cuddly
sweaters, scarves, hats, mitts, afghans, etc. I learned to
knit in my early teens and have been knitting for over 50
years.
My experience spans everything from simple hats and scarves
in the $10.00 range to ornate beaded evening sweaters up
to $500.00.
I love to knit for babies and children because you cannot
purchase a “Gramma’s Touch” in quality
and design. Baby and small children items are not excessively
labor intensive so I am able to keep the costs down to
a reasonable price for a hand made knit sweater or blanket set.
I take pride
in making knit baby items from soft durable yarns in a variety
of colors and styles.

Munchkin-Knitwear
My mother has been knitting items for my siblings, my extended family and friends for decades. I wore a variety of handmade knit sweaters growing up and all of them were so beautifully crafted. Both of my babies received beautiful sweater sets from their grandmother and I have kept them all these years. My boys wore the jackets daily when they were toddlers and they are still intact and in good condition. Having machine washable yarns is the practical way to enjoy handmake knit wear.
